Reframing Dementia Book Prelaunch

The Reframing Dementia Book Pre-Launch, held on March 7, 2026, at the University of Toronto, was a collaborative symposium organized by Bridging Futures Canada Society (BFCS) and the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences. Led by Dr. Jeya Thayaparan and Nirusha Thavarajah, the event brought together clinicians, students, and community members to explore innovative, person-centered approaches to dementia care.

The symposium featured the pre-launch of Reframing Dementia Care Beyond Prescription, highlighting the need for early prevention, policy reform, and community-based care. The event was enriched by contributions from Pamela Baxter and George Smitherman, and reflected a strong interdisciplinary and intergenerational approach to advancing dementia care.
